In-flight flirting: Love could blossom in the skies with Virgin America's new seat-to-seat drink delivery service
Virgin America is taking mile-high flirtation to new heights with a seat-to-seat delivery service for drinks and even a text message system built into the entertainment screens.
Passengers looking to connect with the attractive person in seat 5C will now be able to pull up a digital seat map on their TV screens and order a drink to be sent their way, paying for it by simply swiping their credit card.
And if sending a drink over just isn't enough, smitten travellers flying with the US airline can follow up by sending a text message through the entertainment system.

Of course, the idea is fully endorsed by Virgin's CEO who has introduced a tongue-in-cheek video guide entitled: "Sir Richard Branson's Guide to Getting Lucky".
For those who can't pull off his stunts and whisk a fellow passenger off to a private island, he recommends buying a drink or snack through the entertainment service and following up with "suggestive seat-to-seat chat" to "seal the deal".
