The Caribbean region is said to be full of beautiful islands. This is exactly the reason why I wanted to spend one of my vacations there. I wasn't able to go there during my honeymoon since my wife wanted it to be in Madrid. For our fifth wedding anniversary, I wanted to spend and celebrate it in the Caribbeans. My wife readily agreed with this idea. She said that visiting Cayman Islands in the Caribbean would be a great setting for our second honeymoon.
When we got to our hotel, we left off for Stingray City after checking in. We didn't know where to go so we asked some people. It was a good thing that we were directed to the right place. A lot of the locals scrambled to be our guide. I had to do some negotiating and haggling for tour rates to Stingray City. We had an hour to look around before the appointed time to ride a van for our trip to the other side of the island. Then we saw that we should board a small and shabby boat. My wife balked at boarding the small boat.
A lady in our group said that the boat is okay. She mentioned that she had been on that boat twice before. Her words mollified my wife and she was able to board the small boat. She told us that her name is Susan. According to her, we were in luck to be on that boat trip. Susan remarked that our two local guides will help us, unlike the other guides of other boats. The sea was captivating and mesmerizing. It was a treat swimming around the subdued rays. I heard the laugh of my wife as she interacted with the stingrays. My laughter grew a little each time I hand food to the rays. I noticed my husband staring at me lovingly as the tides and laughter washed all my troubles away.
Even though she got tired with frolicking with the stingrays, my wife still wanted to see the sights of Grand Cayman Island. We then visited Cayman Turtle Farm: Island Wildlife Encounter. We enjoyed the turtles. We were even allowed to get a turtle each for picture taking. But there were certain parts that we were not allowed to interact with them. Additionally we saw Smiley the Crocodile.
My wife and I like the very big aquarium with sharks and and some predators. Then when my wife went to the aviary, she was very delighted to see a bird going near a woman. A guide then told my wife to reach out and stand still for a while. With bated breath my wife looked in amazement as a beautiful bird got near her hand then actually landed on her palm. She was really so happy with the feeling. I was so happy to see that my wife was very touched with the experience. She was very stunned and there was wonder in her eyes. How I like to see my beautiful wife happy and so lively.
