Teddy Bear Puppies Are The Ideal Designer Dog

A designer dog crossed between a a Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise, has to be one of the most delightful and adorable pets you can own. Teddy bear puppies have grown in popularity around the world. They offers great companionship to those looking for a new addition to the family.

This pup loves to be in human company. It is a very charming and good natured creature. The breed was introduced to the dog world at the beginning of this centenary. Shuchon or Zuchon are alternative names for this breed.

It has an eager to please temperament. It is an intelligent little dog that is easy to train. As far as the vocal traits go, this small breed of pup does not bark as much as other small dogs.

Appearance wise this little fella has an adorable face, droopy ears, squashed muzzle, tiny round face and the most endearing eyes that scream, love me. The breeds appearance earns them their name. Small in stature even when they reach adulthood, they grow to approximately twelve inches high and weigh between eight and sixteen pounds.

For anyone who suffers with allergies this pup is ideal. The dander that causes problems for allergy suffers is bred out of the animal. The hypo allergenic dog does not shed its soft coat and so does not irritate the skin, eyes or nose.

The grooming of this dog can be done by a professional groomer or yourself. Keeping the coat healthy is achieved by regular brushing and cleaning of the dogs ears and face to keep them free from dirt. Owners should be aware that dogs with a flat muzzle often have breathing problems and are also receptive to temperature changes.

Its gentle docile nature makes it a perfect pet for families. The lovable dog gets on with everyone and is patient with children and gets on with other house pets. It was originally bred to help children with disabilities, providing much needed therapy.

An energetic dog that will love a walk in the local park. Playing with toys and balls will soon wear both owner and dog out ready for an enjoyable evening curled up watching TV or just relaxing. A perfect companion that loves to be around people.

They are a very sort after breed nowadays and can be purchased from breeders for as much as a thousand dollars. The mixed breeding of the dogs means that they you are not buying a pure bred puppy. The American Kennel club class it as a designer dog, often two hybrids mated to produce a mixed gene pool.

Before buying any animal consider if you have the time to look after it. Make sure you check out the parentage and veterinary records to ensure you are receiving a happy and healthy companion. Prepare your home for the new arrival, make sure it is secure. Feeding bowls, a small bed, food and grooming tools are all you should need to start along with a lead. Use a small harness for this dog rather than a collar when taking the him out. Teddy bear puppies have a small trachea that can be squashed.
