Texas Public Birth Records Available Online

Population in Texas has described quite a number with predicted estimates of 26 million residents. Citizens of Lone Star State have their birth details documented in the state of Texas. Verification letters and certified copies of your birth data can be obtained by sending your requests by mail at the office of Vital Statistics Unit. You can also personally visit Texas Vital Statistics Office (VSU) in Austin and get your application form. Guidelines and instructions of the request process will be explained by the office in Austin, TX every Mondays until Fridays during business working hours.

The processing fee for walk-in applications is $22 for each copy both for verification and certified copies. The payment can be sent through money orders, cash or checks payable to the Department of State Health Services. It will only take 30 to 120 minutes of waiting the request at the office. If in case the process will take longer than the expected time, the applicant is to return back to the office at 3:30 in the afternoon of the same day or 10:30 of the next morning. All requests made through mails will be process for six to eight weeks.
