The former Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka addressing a media conference in Colombo had said that all documentary proof of imports of inferior coal by the CEB from foreign countries during his regime are in his possession for him to show at any investigation at the highest level.The present Minister of Technology and Research Patali Champika Ranawaka had told these documents could be investigated by the best and most intelligent panel and the culprits if any should be severely punished.The loss incurred should be collected from that party.
