         නැදුන්ගමුවේ රාජා ඇතා - Nadungamuwa Raja  (මෙවර සධාතුක කරඬුව වැඩම කල මිනිසුන්ට වඩා පින් මහිමය ඇති තේජස් සම්පන්න හස්ති රාජයා...) පනහ දශකයේ මුල්භාගයේදී මානසික රෝගීන්ට ප‍්‍රතිකාර කිරීමට ප‍්‍රචලිත මෙරට භික්‍ෂුවක් ඉන්දියාවේ මයිසුර් ප‍්‍රාන්තයේ - "මහරාජා" වරයකුට ප‍්‍රතිකාර කිරීම සඳහා එහි ගියේය. හිමියන් ගේ ප‍්‍රතිකාරවලින් නිට්ටාවට සුවය ලද "මහරාජා" පුද පඬුරු ලෙස අවශ්‍ය මොනවාදැයි හිමියන්ගෙන් විමසා සිටියේ ඉල්ලන ඕනෑම මුදලක් ගෙවීමට සූදානමිනි. එම ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේ කිසිම මුදලක් ලබාගැනීමට ප‍්‍රතික්‍ෂේප කළත් එක ඉල්ලීමක් මහරාජා වෙත ඉදිරිපත් කර සිටියේය. ඒ ඉන්දීය ඇතෙකි. එක් ඇතෙක් වෙනුවට ඇත් පැටවුන් දෙදෙනෙකුම ත්‍යාග ලෙස එම හිමියන්ට ලැබුණේය. පිළියන්දල - නීලම්මහර විහාරස්ථානයක වැඩ වාසය කළ ඒ හිමියන් සතුව සිටි ඒ එක් ඇත් පැටවකු අද වන විට ආසියාවේ සිටින හීලෑ ඇතුන්ගෙන් උසම ඇතාය. 2005 වසරේ සිට අඛණ්ඩව ශ්‍රී ලංකා දළදා මාලිගාවේ ඇසළ පෙරහැරේ කරඬුව වැඩම කරලීමට වාසනාව ලද මේ හස්ති රාජයා ගම්පහ නැඳුන්ගමුවේ ඇත්රජුය. මෙවර ඇසළ පෙරහැරේ දළදා කරඬුව වැඩම කිරීම ද නැඳුන්ගමුවේ හස්තියාට භාරවී තිබේ. දැනට පනස් අට වියේ පසුවන නැඳුන්ගමුවේ හස්තියාගේ විශේෂත්වය නම් පෙරහැරකට සහභාගී වීමට කිසිදිනක වාහනයකින් ගමන් නොකිරීමයි. ලංකාවේ පවත්වන ඕනෑම පෙරහැරක් සඳහා හස්තියා යන්නේ පා ගමනිනි. හස්තියාගේ වත්මන් හිමිකරු වන නැඳුන්ගමුව වෙද පරපුරේ වත්මන් නියෝජනය වන වෛද්‍ය හර්ෂ ධර්ම විජය මහතා පවසන පරිදි ඇතෙකු වාහනයක රැගෙන යාම එම සතාට කරන බලවත් වූ හිංසාවකි. තට්ටුව සහිත දිග ලොරිවල පටවාගෙන යෑමේදී එම සතා විවිධ දුෂ්කරතාවලට ලක්වෙයි. වාහනයේ ගැස්සීම්, තිරිංග තදකිරීමේදී ඇතිවන පීඩනය එම සත්ත්වයාට දරාගත නොහැක. තමාට ඇති අසීරුතාව පිළිබඳ පැවැසීමට සතාට නොහැකිය. තම දැවැන්ත ශරීරය පාලනය කර ගනිමින් ඉතා අයාසයෙන් යුතුව යන මේ ගමන්වලින් සත්ත්වයා විවිධ ලෙඩ රෝගවලට ලක්වී උගේ පරමායුෂද අඩුවේ. නුවර දළදා පෙරහැර පමණක් නොව, රත්නපුර මහ සමන් දේවාලයේ පෙරහැර, බෙල්ලන්විල පෙරහැර, කැලණි පෙරහැර, ගම්පහ සාම විහාරයේ පෙරහැර, කඩුවෙල රන්කඩුදේවාල පෙරහැර හා වාද්දුව පෙරහැරටද සහභාගි වන හස්තියා එහි යන්නේ පා ගමනිනි. ඇත්ගොව්වා සමග පා ගමනින් යන හස්තියාගේ ගමන නිරීක්‍ෂණය කිරීම සඳහා හර්ෂ විජය වෙද රාළහාමිද වාහනයෙන් යයි. මහනුවර දළදා මාලිගාවේ පෙරහැර පටන් ගැනීමට දින 5කට කලින් ගම්පහ - නැඳුන්ගමුවෙන් පිටත්වන හස්තියාගේ පළමු දින රාතී‍්‍ර නවාතැන වන්නේ පස්යාලයි. දෙවැනි දින රාති‍්‍රය වරකාපොළ, නතරවන හස්තියා තෙවැනි දින කෑගල්ලේ නතර වෙයි. හතරවැනි දිනයේ මාවනැල්ල ප‍්‍රදේශයේ රාති‍්‍රය ගතකරන හස්තියා තම ඇත්ගොව්වාද සමග පස්වැනි දිනයේදී මහනුවරට ළඟාවෙයි. අලූයම පිබිදී පා ගමනින් යන හස්තියා අව් රශිමිය දැඩි දහවල් කාලයේ විවේක ගනියි. නැවතත් හවස් යාමයේ ගමන පටන්ගෙන රාතී‍්‍ර කාලයේ විහාරස්ථානයක නවාතැන් ගනියි. හර්ෂ විජය මහතාට අනුව අලි ඇතුන් දැඩි අව් රශ්මියේ යාමට අකමැතිය. ඒ අවස්ථාවේ හස්තියාගේ කටින් කෙළ පෙරෙයි. ඌ යම්කිසි පිඹීදීමක් ද කරයි. වාහනයක දමාගෙන යනවිට ඌට මෙවැනි දේ දැක්වීමට ඉඩකඩක් නැත. විවේක ගැනීමටද අවස්ථාවක් නැතිවීමෙන් විශාල වශයෙන් සත්ත්වයා දුර්වල තත්ත්වයට පත්වේ. රත්නපුර මහ සමන් දේවාලයේ පෙරහැරට සහභාගිවීමට යන්නට හස්තියා දින තුනක් තිස්සේ පා ගමනින් යයි. කැලයක සිටින අලියෙකු වුවද තම ආහාර සපයා ගැනීමට දිනකට කී.මී. 15ක් 20ක් පමණ පයින් ගමන් කරයි. උගේ ජීවන පැවැත්මට එය අනිවාර්යයෙන් අවශ්‍ය අංගයක් බවද පැවැසේ. ආසියාවේ සිටින හීලෑ ඇතුන්ගෙන් උසම ඇතා ලෙස පැවසෙන නැඳුන්ගමුවේ හස්තියාගේ උස අඩි 11 1/2කි. සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම ශාක භාක්‍ෂක සතෙකු වන අලියාට පළතුරු දීමට බොහෝ අය උත්සාහ කළත් පළතුරු විශාල ප‍්‍රමාණයක් කෑ විට �=B __._,_.___ Attachment(s) from waruni 1 of 1 Photo(s) gap.png Reply via web post Reply to sender Reply to group Start a New Topic Messages in this topic () Recent Activity: Visit Your Group Rebirth of "Lanka_Friends" "Srilanka_Friends" is a friends email list, Join us and get Funny Pictures,Interesting Articles, Funny Video Clips, Audio Songs, Presentations, Links and a lots of Stuff Which you will Love to see in your InBox. Plans to have current account surplus after 2016

Sri Lanka hopes to have a current account surplus in the balance of payments after 2016, Central Bank Governor Nivard Cabraal said.  He said current revenues from the ruling administration's 'five hubs' concept will increase in the future with tourism, airport and port services, business process outsourcing revenues were set to increase.
Sri Lanka has a current account surplus partly because the capital account is partially closed for outward investments and because the government is a heavy borrower abroad. A capital account deficit country, or a country that builds up foreign reserves could have a current account surplus.

Packer to go ahead with Colombo casino project

The government has permitted Australian casino tycoon James Packer to continue with his project in Colombo after making changes to its original design, according to Colombo Page.
It quoted Investment Promotion Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena as saying that work on Packer’s US$ 350 million project to set up an integrated resort which includes a 400-room hotel with gaming facilities will commence as planned on the land initially assigned for it on D. R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo.
