Temporarily refrain from engaging in Jummah prayers – ACJU


The All Ceylon Jamiathul Ulama (ACJU) has requested the Muslim community to temporarily refrain from conducting Jummah prayers, and the five-time congregational prayers until further notice.

Issuing a statement, the ACJU said that this request had been made in keeping with the directives issued by the World Health Organisation and the Ministry of Health to minimize public gatherings in a bid to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

The statement, issued by the ACJU General Secretary requested the management of all mosques to abide by these requests considering the prevailing situation.
