The Small Developments Toward Brain Cancer Remedy

By Rob Sutter

Brain cancer is the kind of condition that treatment has seemed to elude for quite some time. This is mostly due to the fact that these kinds of growths have complex natures to them, which means that finding out information about them takes a great deal of effort. From protein chains to enzymes, it's clear that more go into these tumors than what most would realize. Seeking cures is important but it's not going to happen unless the necessary steps are taken leading up to them.

I read an article on the Medical Xpress website that told about a drug by the name of Avastin, which works to help tumors. Essentially, they cause the tumors to decrease in size but the problem therein is that they often grow back to their previous size rather quickly. While this might seem like a failure in theory, I believe it can only help researchers understand these growths better. With a drug called dasatinib, it seems like the spread of tumors can stop.

I believe that research on this matter is the most trying because of how slowly it has to be done. These tumors have proven to be complex and with several enzymes and chains of protein to consider, it's apparent why cures are difficult to come to fruition. As a result, the people who operate in this field often hit many roadblocks when, in my opinion, they should not have to. I believe that they are fully able to take the help from others and utilize it well, though.

Companies along the lines of Voices Against Brain Cancer have done great work in terms of its social events people can attend. These are the types of individuals who all have the same kind of cause in mind and they want to be able to work to see success come about. Brain cancer may be one of the strongest causes to go after, too. Thanks to the weight that this condition has and the passion people have for raising awareness, these events seem like they're made to succeed.

I wish that I could offer more support to brain cancer awareness because I feel like there's not enough help that can be given to it. While it's clear that there's a large group of people who want to be able to help, who's to say that it can't expand in time? People are, for the most part, goodhearted and if they see a cause in which people are in need, they are going to work to make success come about. I can only hope that more people join the cause and see that cures will be found in the future.
