Once a person decides to go out for a travel and leaves behind everything at home for a while or a couple of weeks and months, the person normally has some good reasons of why traveling is needed. Once a person travels, there has to be a reason. While there could be special reasons, there are still common reasons why people would have to go out.
There is one concrete and common reason. With the internet present, teenagers have learned to get into long distance relationships. Thus, in the desire of seeing their loved on in person, they go out and visit the place. The travel becomes exciting and enjoying especially if the person is looking forward to meeting their loved one at the destination.
Visiting friends and relatives way back home would be another reason too. It is already common these days too that relatives get to live in different areas of the world, and this becomes one great opportunity to have a couple of short visits for them and on special occasions. Traveling also could be considered for the sake of education.
All parents do want to have their children get the best education they could have, and thus these students would have to be sent out to other places to study and focus on what course they'll be taking at a university which they believe is the best for them.

Honeymoon for newly wed couples also would need them to travel. A honeymoon is when the couple would have the chance of making their first baby. This is done commonly by newly wed couples from all walks of life.
