Land boring is the result of the advance of modern technology as previously the tunnels and pits were dug either by hands or by dynamites for larger sites. But the huge problem with dynamite was that they have a habit destroying every single thing in the proximity of the working area thus, with the advancement of technology, modern boring machines were announced in the construction industry.
The OSHA statistics have also shown that 90% of the fatalities occur in four categories: being caught between objects, struck by objects, electrocution and falls. These statistics also show that these accidents are preventable and can be avoided with the proper safety training, precaution, and common sense. Construction work can indeed be dangerous. The line between a near miss and a fatality is thin. Even though the government will enforce safety and health laws and employers have an obligation to provide a safe and healthy workplace, it is still the worker's responsibility to stay safe and out of harm's way.
Government regulators and inspectors cannot be present at construction sites at all times and, due the nature of the construction business, employers cannot guarantee a 100% safe workplace. Simple things such as a change in the weather or the momentary inattention of a fellow worker can lead to a dangerous situation in an instant. In excavation and the use of underground boring machines, inattention is one of the things that should never happen.
This legislation puts legal responsibilities on all parties in the construction cycle, from the client, the designer and the contractors involved in the actual construction work. In addition to large fines, the legislation allows for criminal proceedings to be brought against offenders, leading potentially to imprisonment for serious breaches of the law. While most construction projects will fall under the remit of the 2007 Act, it is the larger projects that will last more than 30 days or 500 person days of working, that the regulations start to increase the actions required of the project team. The client, that is the person instructing the work, has specific duties, one of which is to appoint a CDM Coordinator, to assist them with these specialists in Health and Safety requirements. If a person is involved with instructing construction work, which includes repair, maintenance, alteration and demolition, then it is imperative that they understand and comply with their obligations and responsibility.
While construction sites are always filled with danger, proper knowledge on safety rules and regulations can be the only thing protecting an individual from certain serious injuries.

The making of an underground boring machine is very simple. Remember that this is deep underground which means if a fire unexpectedly erupts, there will be no sliding fire doors to protect the workers.
