If you need a break from the daily grind, a change will do you good. Sea and sun are the perfect combination for recharging your batteries and one place that offers plenty of both is Boca Raton Florida. In fact, it's one of those cities that people fall in love with and move to in order to enjoy a better quality of life every day.

The city of Boca Raton lies to the north of Miami in the southeast of the Florida peninsula. It is part of Palm Beach County. Located between West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale, it's not only a popular holiday destination but also a great place to relocate to if you want to retire or live a more relaxed lifestyle.

Boca, as the city is usually called, has a typical climate for the Greater Miami area. It is warm throughout the year and even in winter the mercury hardly ever drops below about 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Summers are humid and the area experiences thunderstorms but also plenty of sun. However, there may be a risk of hurricanes.

If you're looking for culture and history, you'll find it in the seaside city. Long before people of European descent moved in, Native Americans lived in the area and one of their burial mounds can still be seen. Art lovers shouldn't miss the local art museum and if you have kids, take them to the children's museum. Another museum to visit is the Sports Immortals Showcase Museum. The Caldwell Theatre Company is a local institution too.

The main attraction is the outdoors. There are several parks where you can relax and some of them have facilities like cycling paths, jungle gyms and even tennis courts. Red Reef Park is a popular snorkeling spot and also has picnic facilities for a day on the beach. In addition to the parks and beaches, you'll also find plenty of golf courses. Another option for enjoying the sun is to charter a boat and go sailing or fishing.

You'll find a good selection of shopping centers and malls. For a bit of pampering, there are several spas. The city is a gastronomic paradise too with a huge variety of restaurants that cater for different budgets and for different tastes, from ethnic cuisines like Mexican and Italian to the gourmet creations of innovative and renowned chefs. The local nightclubs and bars aren't concentrated in one area but are spread throughout the different neighborhoods. The city also has some amphitheaters that host performances by big-name acts.

The city is known for its high quality of life and its rather affluent, often famous inhabitants. Some of the most expensive gated communities in the world are located here but you'll also find more affordable real estate in the form of condos or apartments. Rental properties abound and if you only want to stay for a short while, you have plenty of hotels and resorts to choose from.

Before you take the plunge and relocate to Boca Raton, it's best to spend some time here. See whether you like the Boca Raton lifestyle and whether you'll be able to survive financially. Check the local job market or do proper research before investing all your savings in a business venture in a new city. Then get ready to enjoy the good life.
