So Now It's That Time Move The Office

Moving from one location to another is a daunting task to anyone who has ever done it, even with a good Removal Companies. I know that the first time I had to move myself and my company to new offices I thought the process would never be completed on time because I just hadn't organized it properly. Things got there in the wrong order and once everything was in its new home I had no idea where to put them. A little pre-planning could have taken a lot of the hassle out of the project.



The very first thing I needed to have done but wasn't, was to take careful inventory of the space in the office location. Naturally, I had examined the place, but I hadn't honestly measured it. The realtor told me what the measurements were and I assumed that she knew what she was talking about. The problem was that while she was occassionaly right. My assumptions proved me wrong when I attempted to position a desk where I had planned to place it. The book shelves and filing cupboards were placed with the desk which made the space far too tight after we received them, and the whole area needed to be replanned while the furniture was still coming in.



The following thing I found was that office furniture removals, by professionals, which are planned by the proffessionals at the time of the move, usually end up with things in the wrong order. The more heavier items were packed on the moving van first which would lead to them coming out of the wagon last, which in turn meant that all the stuff that was intended to come off last, the large pieces of furniture needed to be put on the floor to start with. Things that were stacked on the floor interfered with the positioning of heavy desks and other large furniture. The tiny stuff like lamps and other office furnishings that go on counters/desks should have been packed first so they could have come off the wagons last.



Then there was the difficulty of the electronic gear. Computers and screens, printers, copiers, telephones and other electronic equipment, and all the little things which make an office inhabitable by a busy working environment are fairly fragile and must be specifically wrapped and transported. Just putting them at random into the van, even carefully wrapped up in blankets, can be damaging to fragile electronics. This equipment must be the final thing to be put in the new space, after all, of the coarse and tumble of furniture moving is complete to guard it from jostling and potentially accidental breakage. That suggests it's got to be the very first thing in the truck.



To summarize, the 4 most important things i have discovered to make moving company and relocations much more easy are office removals:

1. Know the measurements before starting the move so you can know precisely where equipment will be placed when you get to the new office.
2. Pack little things into the truck first and the heavy furniture last so that when you get there you can put the shelves and desks in first. That way you have got a place to put the smaller stuff when it comes in.
3. Keep the electronic equipment safe by packing it separately. Wrapped up in bubble wrap and blankets, then put into card boxes. Computers, communication gear, shredders, copiers, and so forth will arrive in working order to be set up after the large stuff is in.
4. And the 4th thing is to hire a company that's content to hear your requirements. So frequently it's the case that the movers make their decisions for you and do not accept the input of the people that need to know what they require.

Plan in advance and the move can be as smooth as possible.
